Ahh yes. We finally arrived at Mallscapade.

Besides being one of the most fun episodes to watch, it excelled at introducing a number of things to us viewers.

It marks the introduction of Percy, whom we knew nothing about before this episode. Percy is essentially a High School Geek that seems to have a variety of “weird” interests. I really love Percy’s character because I definitely see a lot of him in me. I would say my personality is a combination of Percy and Zelda, so relating to those two is quite easy as both mirror parts of me. The episode also showcases the first time Esther actually opens up about something very personal that happened to her. For the past two episodes we were used to her being the “cynical” character that she is. However, that moment of her explaining what happened when she first played the game gives us an important view into what kind of experiences she had to go through that led her to where she is now.

If you took time to notice it you would realize that this episode packed in so much character development and background in such a short time. By playing the game Mallscapade we were able to reflect and identify with each of the three characters on a new level. That is simply because the game itself put the characters in different situations that mirror real life scenarios that the characters have already been in or might go through in the near future. 

Mallscapade was an extremely entertaining watch. Weirdly enough, I really want someone to make that game!

Oh and this is definitely the most excited I’ve seen Zelda on the show.
